Years ago, I waited on Julia Roberts at a restaurant in West Hollywood.
She sat at the counter with some guy.
My manager offered to buy her lunch, which I told him that was ridiculous, but he offered anyways.
She declined and said "thank you very much but I can pay". She was very polite and tipped well.
