I was a waitress in college when Tim Allen and his party came my restaurant. After spending over 2 hours and over $300.00 on food and drinks, he tipped me absolutely nothing, nada, zero! This was also while he was bragging to everyone about his new boat and how much he spent on it.
You should share that story.
They just did
He's a republican, loud and proud.
He seems like such a chill guy. DARN IT!!!!
What a tool...I guess his old show title ( Tool Time), was spot on huh..
There are innumerable stories on a celebrity sub-Reddit that confirm that Tim Allen is indeed one of the biggest tools in Hollywood. Total worthless waste of humanity, and a cocaine abuser as well (he was even convicted of trafficking in the stuff).
and now a proud republican
Tim Allen once gave me a tip. "Don't try to sell coke to undercover cops!"
I would have thrown a drink at him and found another job, honestly I would have not been able to take that crap.
The "Made her cry" story has no details. Where did this happen? Exactly what did he do or say to make fun of her? If you're going to publicly trash someone, at least back up what you claim.
Jeez, what do you want, an address? A time of day? The names of everyone in the room? How many stars were out?
No, just more details to the story other than 2 sentences. I hardly think that was a request as unreasonable as your response to it.
I'm now conflicted about this guy and his works. On one hand I love his works from years going by because of how funny he was, but on the other hand, now I'm starting to wonder if I should drop this actor from my favorites list if he's really this mean and rude to ether fans or people who serve him when he's out on the town. Now I know why he's gotten so political in some of his recent works and played characters that are smartasses at times or characters that are a bit full of themselves. I used to look up to this guy but now, he's forever an asshole and I'm glad he's being seen less and less on camera lately.
Have you gone back and re-watched some of the old Home Improvement episodes. I was watching them recently, and they're pretty sexist and tone-deaf. I think he's always been this way...
Well, I was a kid when ever I watched Home Improvement so at the time, I didn't think anything of it at the time, and as a teenager growing up, some of his works as years went by, same thing, but in recent times, such as a year ago, I started to suspect something about him that wasn't right or something that was leaving me questioning him. Now, I can see that something about his characters seem to be showing some resemblance to who he is in real life.
That was the point of the character he was playing, he's a know it all he-man but is really a tool. I don't think it sums up the actual guy's life. You think everybody lived like Leave It To Beaver or The Brady Bunch too?
I sort of already know that when it comes to squeaky clean sitcoms like the ones you mentioned by name, I sort of already know now that the actors within the show didn't live life like the way their characters lived within the world of the show they were on. At least I started to find out now from what I looked up. But it's sort of a let down to find this out.
I mean, you have to remember that actors play CHARACTERS. We know NONE of the real people. ALL humans have flaws. I figure that until you meet someone and have a firsthand interaction with them, maybe reserve judgment?if a tv show or movie looks like it's worth your time, watch it. Or not. Whatever.
Not necessarily. If you like his acting and comedy, there is no need to just automatically stop watching him and presume him "guilty until proven innocent simply because someone on an online forum says he's mean.I'm not defending him. He may actually be an asshole. He may not be. I've never met the man, so I don't know. I'm not going to automatically assume so based on what someone online said whom I don't know personally. I'm also not going to assume he's not one. He very well might be. My great uncle Matt met Bill Cosby decades ago (I think during the 1970s but I'm not sure) and said he was an asshole. Well, lo and behold, he turned out to be an asshole who was `convicted of sexual assault. But if Cosby had never been convicted, nobody would be able to verify anything about him from what they've heard from me.People are way too quick to take the word of strangers online too seriously, and to "boycott" someone based solely on their word. Now, if I see some verifiable evidence, such as a video, as in the case of Michael Richards when he went on a racist rant, I'm inclined to not continue to support that person.
Ok, old post, I admit. It's late and I've been drinking.
I see, you do raise a point there. Although, if Bill Cosby was that way when your uncle met him, I'll admit that doesn't surprise me since we all know what Cosby has been guilty of. Years before it surfaced, I assumed Cosby retired but than found out the truth, so it's like we knew Cosby for years but never really knew him. But Cosby did eventually get a sentence. I do agree people are quick to do that but it depends on the person. I never heard of Michael Richards so I'm probably not into him if I never heard of him. Also, I understand but I'd lay off the drinking. It doesn't always lead to anything good, sure, it can help someone relax if they have one beer but nothing else. I'm one of them people who just doesn't drink. They nipped it in the butt about teaching me and other kids about being above the influence when we were kids. Somehow, everything they taught us just stuck with me. So I don't drink, I don't do drugs and I don't smoke. I never have, never will. But I don't mind if anyone else drinks, as long as they don't drink too much.
