I studied film in LA in 2010 and ended up joining a professor to a screening of a film that happened to be Mark Ruffalo's directorial debut (Sympothy for Delicious).
I ended up talking to Mark and Chris Thorton (his good friend and writer and actor of the film) and mentioned I'd love to show it to the other students in the school.
He instantly said. “ yeah! Let's do it! Can we do it Saturday?”
So I flip out and help my prof set the whole thing up.
The day comes and he is the nicest guy ever! He and Chris did a Q&A and then took pictures with all of my friends and basically was the most down to earth, amazing guy.
To top it off we were chatting later outside and as the projectionist was asking my prof for the rental money... He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a wad of cash and adds it to the donations we raised
Then... he noticed I was squinting into the sun while we were talking and slowly moved around (without me even realizing) so I would be out of the sun...
Basically the most kindhearted celeb ever.
ALSO: i have a pic of me photobombing him while he chats with my friend :)
