As a young senator
I went on a trip in eighth grade when Barack was still a young senator before he had as much notoriety.
Our senator from my state (who will go unnamed) only sent a representative to meet with our group, but Barack took it upon himself to take the kids from Illinois (his state) out to breakfast and spend breakfast with them getting to know them.
I was totally jealous.
