In 2006 I went to the Detroit Tigers Spring Training in Lakeland, FL. I was about 11 at the time and then-rookie Curtis Granderson hopped over the short wall between my and my dad's seats and the dugout.
Grandy sat down next to me and talked about my Little League baseball team until he had to go out to warm up for the game.
Couldn't imagine a classier, nicer guy.
He's great for the game and will always be my favorite player. But damn, he needs to lose the pinstripes.
