We just left and not made a scene

I met Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes as a VIP guest at a show in my city. I took my girlfriend along as a birthday present for her. We were both 16 at the time. After talking to him for a few minutes he said "you should totally come back to the bus and hang out for a bit", to which I responded with "Yeah, we'd love to." I knew exactly what he meant, but didn't think he would pursue it if I worded it like that. He still said it: "No, not you. Her." Fucking NOPE.
